Thank you for checking out Ear Nutrition and CPRW Records Present Fare Punks Share. Since starting CPRW Records I’ve wanted to work with other people to release some awesome compilations and I am absolutely honoured that the wonderful Matt Speer from Ear Nutrition wanted to get involved.

Ear Nutrition is a website that produces the highest quality music reviews and column pieces, mostly focussing on punk music but also venturing out into all worlds of guitar music as well as curating some amazing playlists. Matt was the perfect person to ask to be involved in this release because even though our tastes crossover he also has a wide range of styles that he enjoys that aren’t often my go to sound. I’ve always believed that the point of a split is to draw people in with music they do like and expose them to different styles as well. The first ten tracks on the compilation were chosen by Matt and the second half were chosen by me.

As with all CPRW Records releases we are raising money for charity. On Fare Punks Share we are raising money for FareShare. “FareShare is the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors, made up of 17 independent organisations. Together, they take good quality surplus food from right across the food industry and get it to almost 11,000 frontline charities and community groups. The food they redistribute is nutritious, in-date and good to eat. It reaches charities across the UK, including school breakfast clubs, older people’s lunch clubs, homeless shelters, and community cafes. Every week they provide enough food to create almost a million meals for vulnerable people. We chose FareShare because due to the current economic crisis the UK finds itself in due to COVID-19, more people than ever before will be relying food banks and they will need all the support they can get.”
